کامەران محەمەد قادر، Adl Sdiq Ali

This paper attempts to discuss the reasons for the Southern Kurdish people's absence of memoirs between 1900 and 1991, which has become a problem and a significant barrier to researching contemporary Kurdish history because this kind of writing is an important and fundamental tool for writing history. The study is devided into two sections. The first section is devoted to the subjective causes, the ones that are specific to Kurds themselves and contributed to the scarcity of memoirs throughout the aforementioned time. The second section focuses on the objective factors, those that were beyond Kurdish power and intentions and became barriers in front of writing most memoirs by different sections of Kurdish society.
