The study, based on official Iraqi sources, seeks to reveal this fact. Using a historical analytical approach, the study aims to examine Iran's strategic objectives in the occupation of Halabja, the Iraqi regime's reaction to the attack and its broad geopolitical implications, using original sources, including Iraqi government military documents external. The main question of the study seeks to answer the tactics behind the use of chemical weapons in Halabja. He says the bombing was not just a tactical exercise, but a planned military action aimed at suppressing the Kurdish resistance, taking control of the area and punishing the residents of Halabja en masse.
